  • Two batters before the home run, Ryal hit a ball in the left center gap that Upton jogged after and let the ball roll to the wall for a triple. Longoria (and others including myself) felt more effort would have been required to hold Ryal to a double.

  • I don't buy into any of these apologies. The only one I thought was sincere was Temple Coach John Cheney when he threatened to kill John Calipari at a post-game news conference. His body language told it all. The others, yes they are only sorry they got caught and got their huge egos bruised

  • I think Bay will end up with the Angels. The reason he hasn't already is the Angels are trying to get out of the contract for overpaid, underachieving Gary Matthews. They should have some money to spare even with the signing of Fernando Rodney.

  • Its not a big deal at all, every dunk that has ever happened in a womens game was strictly showtime in a one sided game. Perhaps I'll be impressed if it happened at crunch time in an NCAA game but until then, spare all the BS and stop wasting everybodys time.

  • Varitek allowed 8 steals to the Rangers on Sat night???? How about the pitchers who show no ability to hold runners on. Brad Penny is the worst. I can see why Carl Crawford stole 6 bags on him earlier in the season. Julio Borbon is not even an established big leaguer and he stole 4.

  • Why did he even bother holding this press conference? They had 10 days to script something like this. I don't believe Ortiz when he says he was shocked he was on the list (HE KNEW!!!) This press conference was more of the same only I thought it was Roger Clemens wearing a David Ortiz suit.

  • Has been one of my favorite people in baseball for a long time but it has been very painful to watch him. The Sox gave him every opportunity to succeed but the next time I see him in person I hope it is to give his HOF speech in 2015.
